Local Trails - Located in Collier & Lee County
If you reside in or plan to move to Southwest Florida, specifically Collier & Lee County, and have an appreciation for the outdoors, you've come to the perfect location. My wife and I are passionate about hiking/backpacking and embracing nature. Collier and Lee Counties boast an impressive selection of local trails, varying in length. These trails offer abundant wildlife sightings, including deer, alligators, sandhill cranes, a variety of bird species, and even river otters. Each trail possesses its own distinctiveness, and it's truly astounding that they are readily accessible in our own backyard for everyone to enjoy. What's even better is that most of these trails are completely free.
While my wife and I primarily hike, many of these trails are also suitable for biking. Remember to bring your camera, and exercise caution when hiking, as you may encounter alligators along some of the trails. Here is a list of our favorite trails, along with their corresponding website.
