The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program

The Florida Hometown Housing program makes homeownership affordable for eligble frontline community professionals by providing downpayment and closing cost assistance to income-qualified homebuyers so you can purchase a primary residence in the community in which you work and serve.

Elgible borrworers can receive up to 5% of their total loan amount (maximum of $35,000) in the form of a 0%, non-amortizing, 30-year deferred second mortgage.

• Are you a first time homebuyer?
  • An applicant must be a first-time homebuyer to be considered for the FL Housing Hometown Heroes program.  This implies they shouldn't have shown any ownerhsip interest in a primary house in the thre years leading up to the execution of the Mortgage Loan.
• Are you currently employed full time in one of the elgible occupations?
  • Obtain current copy of certification/license
